About Me
Robert D. Clemens
Robert D. Clemens was born in the town of Devizes in the UK; he spent his youth living on a canal boat with his parents upon the Kennet & Avon Canal, which runs through the centre of Devizes. He has often been heard to say, that he believes that it is these early years which gave him an interest in all things aquatic, and ultimately led him into the field of water purification.
At the age of 22, Robert qualified from Cardiff University with a degree in fisheries management, and was ready to embark upon his planned career as a fish farmer. Taking up a post with a local Wiltshire fish farm, he was quick to discover that one of the major problems faced by the fish farming industry was not the actual fish, but the water they were raised in.
After much extensive research, he finally came to realize that even the drinking water he was taking from his kitchen each day was in fact, not exactly pure, and contained a multitude of toxins and other potential health threats. Since this revelation, he has focused more and more upon making the general public aware of the health risks involved with drinking un-purified water, and has pioneered the use of home filtration units to further cleanse residential water supplies.
Robert still resides in the Devizes area, with his wife Jean and his twin teenage daughters, Amber and Faith, who are 15 years old. He still has a keen love of the English waterways, and still owns his parents old canal boat “Moonstone”, which he is currently restoring.
Robert hopes that his new blog, which will be carrying a whole host of information regarding domestic water filtration and purification, will help to educate the public further, and help them to live a healthier life, drinking fine, pure water.
